AUTFORCE CUBE: Multi-stage testing process

The project

We were allowed to implement a multi-stage inspection process with the help of our AUTFORCE CUBES for our customer. Two different product types are inspected in a cycle time of 60 seconds. The stations are operated manually. A special feature is the double-secured NOK rejection by means of a light grid and scan interrogation.


  • Laser marking and DMC verification: By marking the components with a unique and verified DMC, they can be reliably identified in the subsequent stations and all result data can be stored for this unique DMC.
  • Leak test by using an ATEQ leak tester
  • Geometry testing: The tests are performed using an optical 3D laser measurement system.
  • Electrotechnical tests to determine resistance, inductivity, high voltage, etc.

Added value


A first final testing area has been realized with our CUBES. The component to be tested is a product with still low production quantities, but high quality requirements. Should the quantities increase, there is the possibility to automate the handling.


The traceability of data down to batch size 1 can be guaranteed by our AUTFACTORY. For the previously anonymous components, a unique number is generated on which the component can be traced.

Quality assurance

With this unique number, it is also possible for our customer to display the component data from several stations collected on one data sheet. These can now be easily analyzed to identify quality assurance measures.

Elimination of error sources

By using visualized work instructions, the worker is guided through the various work steps. In that way, possible sources of error can be avoided and a high standard of quality can be ensured.
